Jackfruit leaves (Artocarpus heterophyllus) are a perfect natural botanical for both bioactive terrariums and aquariums. They add a very realistic “forest” touch, create refuge zones, and contribute to a more stable and natural environment.
In terrariums, they serve as litter and, being quite durable, resist rapid decomposition well: excellent for maintaining a functional leaf layer longer and supporting microfauna (isopods/springtails). In aquariums, their firmer cuticle provides a great surface for biofilm and microorganisms, making them a very good choice for shrimp, snails, and small grazing fish.
